Reaching Darsilami on his nationwide tour, the people of Jokadu reminded the president on what is stipulated in the constitution and not what was agreed among the coalition members that they voted for five years as required by the constitution of the Gambia.
They did also call on the government to help them with farming equipements as they solely depends on farming.
Masanneh Sonko a native of Darsilemeh urged the president to bring back the groundnut selling centers (Seccos) and also help them with their gardens.
The women of jokadu pleaded with the president for fertilizers as they are in the rainy season and need both seeds and fertilizers to make work easy for them.
Lamin Mass emphasized more on internal security in the country and in jokadu to maintain peace and stability.
Lamin N Dibba who is the Minister of Agriculture assured the people of governments commitment and support. He said they have heard their concerns and will tackle them. Minister Dibba said fertilizers are on hand and will make them available to farmers soon.
His Excellency president Barrow said the changes in his cabinet shows he is ready to work with all irrespective of political affiliation. The national development plan is set for 2021 whenhis mandate will end and the rest will be for Gambians to decide according to the President. Barrow youths for national development will build a mosque, borehole and a garden every month from now on the president concluded.
